Hey bEHRconnect Team,
I’m Kim Langston—a bodywork and energy alignment practitioner with 18 years of hands-on experience, founder of Chakras Wellness, and creator of Sovereigns Wellness Academy.
Over the past six years living in New Orleans, I’ve watched the culture, felt the energy of the city, and fully stepped into becoming a New Orleanian. In seeing where things are right now, I know firsthand that I want to be an active part of shifting what’s happening in our Black community and culture. Giving back to this community is deeply personal to me—it’s about creating a space where we help each other understand our lives, our physical and mental health, our goals, and ultimately take our sovereignty seriously.
I’m looking to lock in a date for October or November 2026 to bring a complete Sovereign Wellness & Community Reset to bEHRconnect. Taking this time allows us to curate a full, high-impact collaborative experience. Gatekeeping wellness only keeps it out of reach for the people who need it most, so my goal is to bring together like-minded Black-owned practitioners for a day focused on mental, physical, and spiritual elevation—raw, authentic, and grounded.
What We’re Bringing to the Space:
Sovereign Movement & Dance Warm-Up: Mid-session music, free movement, and dancing to shake off stress, drop inhibitions, and let the real energy flow.
Affirmations & Real Talk: Vocal empowerment centered on self-worth, honoring the people we value, and claiming what we want in life.
Interactive Energy & Bodywork Demos: Hands-on self-alignment techniques to release head, neck, and nervous system tension.
Collaborative Practitioner Spotlights: Bringing in local Black practitioners (herbalists, sound guides, wellness creators) to share tools, resource tables, and complementary modalities.
Chakras Wellness is about all-around health, and Sovereigns Wellness Academy is about how we actually grow together. This event is designed to be a win-win that lifts up everyone who walks through the doors.
